DON’T LOOK BACK!

A sprinter looking back while on track may fall to the ground or reduce the speed necessary to become a gold medalist in an Olympic track event.

However, looking back does not here imply making no reference to the past. Lot’s wife became a soup ingredient because she looked back. The attrocity of Sodom and Gomorrah was so grevious in the sight of God that He willed no one should identify with its destruction by visualization. Sin is not worth looking back at.

Although responding to the ‘Holiness Call’ may not be easy, nevertheless; looking back at ‘Sin’ is not an option. Righteousness exalts but sin reproaches (Proverbs 14:34). The call to holiness is the universal call of God (Leviticus 19:2; Matthew 5:48).

Even though the Prince of this world presents sin as a palatable meal for all; the children of light should endeavour not to dine and wine at table with Satan because there is a banquet of rich food and choicest wine prepared for us in the city of God (Isaiah 26:5).

May God strengthen our resolve to follow Him in holiness always (Amen).

Love.
