DAILY CHALLENGE: Confession. Reconcile with your God.
DAILY THEME: The greatest sign
THINK ABOUT THIS: The greatest sign about your salvation has been given long ago. It is the sign of the virginal conception of a God-child whose name shall be called Emmanuel. This sign means victory over your adversaries. For the virgin will bruise the head of the serpent who is our ancient enemy. While ‘Emmanuel’ will bring victory over death though his death and resurrection. And as you share in faith on this great redemption mission.
May this sign mark a turning point in your life, destiny and a victory over your adversaries.
Bible Reading – Isaiah 7:10-16
Moreover the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying, “Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.” But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!” Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.
PRAY WITH ME
Lord, I thank you for coming into the world to set us free from sin and to bring victory over our adversaries. Show me a sign of your favour that my foes my see to their shame. That they may know that you are all that I have. May your mother Mary intercede for me, and let my prayer this day be pleasing before you. Let your Holy Spirit accompany me on this journey to make it fruitful in my life.
