40 DAYS JOURNEY WITH THE LORD. Day 8

DAY 8

Moderated by Fr Justin Nzekwe

DAILY CHALLENGE: Go to your place of worship and pray. Make an intercession.

DAILY THEME: Ask, Seek and knock.
THINK ABOUT THIS: Praying does not only demand faith but also courage and a deeper relationship with God.
Do you have courage to ask anything from your enemy?
Have you sought out the one who has the key to your life?
Have you the courage to knock even after asking?

God wants you to amend the broken link in your relationship with him, and to build more confidence in him.
Go and make God a friend, then with courage and faith in him, go back, seek, knock and ask and you will surely receive.

Bible Reading – Matthew 7: 7-11

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

PRAY WITH ME

Lord, I come to you with the assurance that you are my father, and you alone can give me the best things. I’m not perfect yet I know you can always forgive and love me unconditional.
Today I make this prayer request to you —–(mention you request)

I’m confident that you will answer me. May your grace never abandon me. And let your Holy Spirit accompany me to make this journey faithfully to the end, so that it may bear fruit in my life. Amen.

(Say this prayer as many times as you can, today)

Our Father…….
Hail Mary…….
Glory Be……
>>Psalm 23:6 (3X)
>>Psalm 118:17 (3X)
