40 DAYS JOURNEY WITH THE LORD.

DAY 18

DAILY CHALLENGE: Fast and pray

DAILY THEME: You can’t disturb God enough.

THINK ABOUT THIS: People of bad faith are those who give up easily, they are mostly failures in the society, and you can never be among them. The Bible presents us with a picture of a widow who wants something from a proud judge without compromising her integrity. It was not easy for her, but she won attention out of her persistence is asking. God is looking out for persistent Christians who are ready to call on him night and day until their prayers are answered.

For the problems of a righteous person can never be a disturbance unto God. God is even inviting us to come to Him with our burden and he will give us rest. Go to Jesus today with persistent heart and unload your burden. Do not be discouraged by those things you asked in the past which seemed unanswered. Keep pushing with faith and I assure you that something positive will surely happen.
Bible Reading – Luke 18: 1-8

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

PRAY WITH ME

Lord, I have come to you with all my burdens because I know you can handle all of them. You alone can vindicate me and you alone can save me. Do not allow life challenges to overpower me that I may come to the point of giving up. Come to my aid that I may testify your goodness in the land of the living. Let your Holy Spirit also accompany me to make this journey faithfully to the end, so that it may bear a lasting fruit in my life. Amen.

(Say this prayer as many times as you can, today)
