40 DAYS JOURNEY WITH THE LORD.
DAY 26

DAILY CHALLENGE: Go to church, tell God your problems.
DAILY THEME: If you love the Son, then you should love the mother
THINK ABOUT THIS: Good Mothers are the most trusted companions. We do not choose who become our mother, but God chose who would become the mother of our saviour Jesus Christ. It was fitting that the mother of Our Saviour should be a woman beautiful at heart and in character. And Mary became that great choice. She nurtured the baby Jesus, she inspired his first miracle and she accompanied him through his journey from Golgotha to his resurrection. It was also fitting that such woman who gave human flesh to Jesus should have a special place in glory, and should be able to intercede on our behalf.
Bible Reading – John 19:24-28
They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.”
Therefore the soldiers did these things. Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
PRAY WITH ME
Lord, as I accompany you on this journey, I pray that you also accompany me on my own earthly journey. I join my sufferings and temptations with that of you. May your death bring victory over my life and aspirations. May your Holy Mother intercede for me that I may live a life pleasing to You.
Let your Holy Spirit accompany me on this journey to make it fruitful in my life.
