DAILY CHALLENGE: Fast at least from morning to noon (12pm), if you are healthy.
Bible Reading – Matthew 6:16-18.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
PRAY WITH ME
Lord, as mortify myself this day, I unite my suffering with that of your cross, so that it may win redemption for me. Forgive my sins and heal my wounds. May my prayer pierce heaven, and never come back without an answer from above. And let your Holy Spirit accompany me to make this journey faithfully to the end, and let it bear fruit in my life. Amen.
