40 DAYS JOURNEY WITH THE LORD. Day 5

DAY 5

Moderated by Fr Justin Nzekwe

DAILY CHALLENGE: Tell people you meet something great about God.

Bible Reading – 1 Cor. 10: 12-17.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

PRAY WITH ME

Lord, give me the strength to conquer my weakness and to conquer every temptation in my life. Renew your covenant with me, that my spiritual power will outweigh that of the evil one. Increase your grace and power in me that my presence may scare the devil and evil ones away. Let all my test end in praise and testimony. And let your Holy Spirit accompany me to make this journey faithfully to the end, and let it bear fruit in my life. Amen.

(Say this prayer as many times as you can, today)

Our Father…….
Hail Mary…….
Glory Be……
>>Psalm 23:6 (3X)
>>Psalm 118:17 (3X)

TOMORROW’S CHALLENGE: Do some charity. It must not be money. It could be rendering some help to others.

***If you are interested in this spiritual journey, please let me know. Ask questions, tell me your challenges through your  comments and never give up should you miss any day. God bless you. ***

***You may decide to accompany this journey with shorter fast, or by avoiding bad habits****
