ABANDON PRAYER FOR WORK?

I have heard someone discredit by his message gone viral the dependency on God through prayer in this part of the world saying it is the cause of under development and hence, people should go and work. Should we really abandon prayer for work? No doubt, lazy attitude to work is itself sinful. 

God gave humanity the authority to conquer the universe in Genesis; a mandate to exercise dominion through work.

However, to understand ability as sufficiency without God is itself a disaster.
St. Paul testified he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13).

Work can never be a substitute for prayer but a complement. We should work and pray our way to victory. Except the Lord builds the house, the labourers are sure to labour in vain(Psalm 127:1).
