Behind the mask…

We often apply make ups to cover our ugly spots. Hence, a beautiful lady may not be identified by her facial look in the afternoon but in the morning when she wakes from sleep. Her beauty is therefore not determined by what she applies on her face or adorns her body with since nature has already made her beautiful.

Hypocrisy is like an ugly woman who applies make up and appears beautiful. Hypocrisy does not strictly mean to live below board as sometimes we experience weakness amidst genuine desire to be strong. Hypocrisy means to under sift (living a psuedo or false life). It is a surface life without depth.

There are more hypocrites in the church than there are christians. Hypocrisy may not be exposed to men but is crystal before Christ the Lord. Hence, it is vain deceiving oneself and others because God cannot be deceived.

On the last day, many would claim to have prophesied, cast out demons, worked miracles, performed signs and wonders in the name of Christ. Alas! Christ would say to them; I never knew you (Matthew 7:21-23). Why should this be? It is the recompense for living behind mask.

Dear, now is the time to unmask and be real. May God help us.

Love.
