Christ Must Become More Important While I become less important

Our attitude as God’s children must be like that of St John the Baptist when he said; “Christ must become more important while I become less important.” John 3: 30 John the Baptist was so filled with awe for God that he always sought for God’s own greater glory in all things. When his apostles came to complain about Jesus baptizing people, he said plainly that “No one can have anything unless God gives it” John 3: 27

Not even the air we breathe belongs to us. Nothing at all can come to us without God’s approval. Can you imagine how merciful God is? He allows the sun to shine on both the good and the bad. God is so merciful that He even allows the wicked to live despite the atrocities they commit. He allows us walk even though we sometimes use the leg he has given to us to commit atrocities. He allows us speak even though we spew evil from our mouth.

Because God owns us, we should live more consciously. Our idea should be that God has to be glorified and we are subject to him. We should live only for Him who made us. We should not live lawlessly like children who have no regard for their parents. We should live like loving children who love and respect their parents and would do everything to make their parents happy.
