DAILY REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 24TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II
THEME: PROVIDING THE NEEDS OF THE CHURCH
BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ
REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 16 2022
Lk 8: 1 – 3.
Jesus is calling me to be among his followers. He wants me to evangelize myself as well as my neighbours. He also wants me to practice generosity and hospitality. These are some of the natural qualities of women. I realize that the needs of the church is manifold: repairs, maintenance, security, welfare, utility bills, office needs etc. Do I know and respect the feminine role in the growth of the family, Church and society? Do I make contribution of time, talents and treasure in support of the growth of my Church?
LET US PRAY
Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me the vocation of being a Christian. Thank you for allowing women to come to you. Let me always respect everyone in my worshipping community: young, old, men, women and children. Help me to fulfil my duty in the service of the Church. Bless all the women that have helped me in my faith journey and supported me in my work. Bless, multiply, and sanctify my offering of sacrifice and praise. Amen.
Dear friend in Christ, Thank you for your generous donations/check. You can still donate as low as $5. We need a minimum of about $5000 each year to upset our bills.
