DAILY REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF THE 16TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

REFLECTION FOR MONDAY JULY 18 2022

Mt 12: 38 – 42.

I am grateful that God’s grace has severally been made manifest in my life despite my rebellion and reluctance. This is a sign of his love for me. I should believe and trust that Jesus is the sign, and that I don’t need any more sign. Am I sometimes fixated on looking for signs of magical powers, horoscope, extraordinary miracles and wonders from preachers? Why are my eyes closed from seeing my daily events and experiences as signs from God. Am I aware of God’s sign in my breath, presence, meals, the silent growth of plants, the workings of my inner organs, etc?

LET US PRAY
Help me dear Jesus never to be like the Pharisees who are threatened by the ingenuity of my talented neighbours, but appreciate them, and see the sign and gift of God in what they do. Help me to be conscious of what you are saying to me in different events and places, and in my daily encounter with people. Amen.
