REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY JUNE 9 2022
Mt 5: 20 – 26.
As a child of God I must be good and righteous. Jesus speaks wisdom once more by telling me about the essence of peaceful co-existence. It is better to settle squabbles amicably. Getting the police involved only escalate the matter. What is my relationship with others? How prompt am I at reconciling conflict and hate? Do I mentally ‘kill’ anyone? Do I insult, hurt, destroy or humiliate anyone?
LET US PRAY
Help me Lord Jesus to be mindful of my angry tendencies, to watch my thoughts and words towards others. Keep me in check. Let me be quick to seek reconciliation. Amen.
