Reflection for Thursday February 3 2022

Mk 6: 7 – 13.

February 3, 2022.

Jesus speaks today that my primary call is the evangelization of souls. He wants me to do this by collaborating with others so as to promote team spirit and give mutual support. He also wants me to make sacrifice, be detached and to trust in His Divine Providence. What is my level of greed in the acquisition of material goods for the “rainy day?” What is inhibiting me from having team spirit? What specific task is Jesus sending me to do for him today?

LET US PRAY
Help me Lord Jesus to trust in your Word. Give me a true spirit of total detachment, and rid me of the tendency to have more than the bare necessities of life. I pray for the courage to ward off evil, preach repentance and the truth, Let me discover the joy of working jointly with others. Give me also the grace of positive compromise when collaboration pains. May I give comfort to the sick, and actively tell of your salvation through my works and words. Amen.
