Daily reflection for Wednesday of 2nd Week in Ordinary Time Cycle II
Theme: DO GOOD, SAVE LIFE
By: Sr. J. K. Osiyemi EHJ
Reflection for Wednesday January 19 2022
Mk 3: 1-6.
I am like the Pharisees whenever I am overly preoccupied with the letters of the law and instantly ready to be a fault finder and fish out the law breakers. Jesus shows me the need to* rather shift my focus from being critical to doing good, being loving and caring. Do I have an open mind, or am I fixated on my ideas alone? Is my mind withered like that of the Pharisees? Who have I connived with to destroy another out of jealousy and anger because of the good things he/she is doing?
LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see the more essential problems facing my immediate community/society. Teach me that doing good is more pleasing to you than being rigid and enslaved to laws, projects and friends. Restore life and fluidity to my withered soul. Fill me once more with joy and vibrancy of spirit. Give me the courage to speak up against those who undermine the sacredness of life. Amen.
