ENTER THE BATHROOM

Youth participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation during a Youth Rally at St. Michael Parish in Wauchula on Jan. 25, 2014.

ENTER THE BATHROOM

A certain man on a journey was so pressed that his need to use the rest room was urgent. For several minutes he journeyed with much discomfort finding no place to empty his bowel until he eventually came across a man who directed him to a rest room nearby.

The aforesaid man who was uneasy following his need to use the toilet ran with immediate alacrity into the lavatory so as to be free from his burden which had at that point became unbearable. Alas!he ran out of the rest room rolling on the floor following lamenting his inability to use the rest room he was directed into by the man he had met on the way. He reported to the man saying that the rest room had become so untidy and messed up to the point that one cannot survive in there for 10 seconds.

The man who had directed the pressed man into the privy then revealed to the discomforted man that the messed up rest room shows clearly the state of his life.
Hence, the pressed man is himself the rest room. Rolling on the floor with intense stomach disturbance, the pressed man asked the man whom he had been consulting with on what next to do. He was shown a bathroom and was asked to enter into it.

The pressed man rather than entering into the toilet, entered into the bathroom. Upon his coming out from the bathroom, he had been cleansed by the fountain of living waters and became at ease and no longer produced terrible odour which repelled people from him.

“Enter the bathroom” is a call to go to the foot of the Cross of Calvary, to confess and forsake our sins and be forgiven by the loving mercy of our God.

When last did I embrace the Sacrament of Reconciliation?

Enter the bathroom!
Have a great weekend.

Love.
