EXCUSES THAT CONDEMN

To get a good qualitative education, some people spend lots of money, travel thousands of miles away from home and study much.

To remain healthy, some people abstain from the diets they enjoy, spend much to maintaining a clean environment and are regular with medical check ups.

To get a job, married, build a house, buy a vehicle, succeed in business, bear children, get promotion or attain positions of great heights…people often sacrifice much without counting the cost.

However, when it comes to following the Lord and doing His will, streams of excuses emerge. Excuses that stand as hindrances to our following the Lord who has called us out of darkness to live in his glorious light leads to condemnation.

No excuse is good enough to reject God’s invitation to holiness. God gave it all for us without an excuse. God gave us His only begotten Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Help us Lord to count everything else as loss when it comes to responding to your invitation of love – … ‘Follow me.’
