FR. DAN SCHWARTZ: THE LAST REMAINING U.S. NAVY CHAPLAIN IN KABUL

A priest of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus serving in the Military has been on the spotlight for Catholic news all over the world. He is Fr. Dan Schwartz and happens to be the last remaining Roman Catholic priest in Kabul. He is a Vietnamese immigrant who have captured the heart of people all over the world.

The 32 years old priest was seen on a viral video last week, performing his function as a priest-chaplain. He was wearing a stole and escorting one of the recent fallen Marines to a plane where the corpse will be flied back to the United States. Let’s continue to pray for those who gave their lives in Afghanistan and those who have to make the decision to leave everything behind.

Please pray for all Catholics and Christians to remain steadfast and fully embrace their faith despite the resistance. For the rest of the Christians living in the other part of the world, this news reminds us that it is a privilege to practice our faith freely and should never cease to pray and be grateful to God for these blessings.
