*INTRODUCTION*
Dear brethren, today is the great day for Jesus Christ our Lord has risen from the dead. Allelua, this is indeed the day that the Lord Himself has made, let us rejoice and be glad. Jesus has risen, never to die again. Without Easter, our whole faith and belief would be meaningless, and without the resurrection from the dead, all that we believe in and all that we do are without any purpose.

*FROM OUR FIRST READING*
In our first reading today, we hear the message of Peter to Cornelius and his household, in which he proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ, his life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Peter affirms that Jesus is the Lord of all, and that those who believe in Him receive forgiveness of sins and new life.

*FROM OUR SECOND READING*
We are reminded today as christians, that we should focus on the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, and to set our minds on heavenly things rather than earthly things. The passage reminds us that our lives are hidden with Christ in God and that when Christ appears, we too will appear with Him in glory.

*FROM OUR GOSPEL READING*
In our Gospel passage of today, Mary Magdalene visits Jesus’ tomb on the first day of the week and finds the stone removed from the entrance. She runs to tell Peter and the beloved disciple, who both go to the tomb and find it empty, with the burial cloths lying there. Although they do not understand what has happened, the beloved disciple believes, as he sees and believes, while Peter remains puzzled.

*WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE LITURGY OF TODAY?*
Todays liturgical celebration teaches us four most important aspects of our faith.

*1. Death is not the final word:* The Resurrection of Jesus assures us that death does not have the final say, and that new life is possible.

*2. God never abandons us:* Even in the midst of suffering and death, God remains with us and offers us hope and comfort.

*3. New life from death:* Through Jesus’ Resurrection, new life is possible, even in the face of death and despair.

*4. How Easter must change our hearts:* Easter challenges us to let go of sin and selfishness, and to embrace the new life and hope that Jesus offers.

*CONCLUSION*
May God bless us all and may His light shine upon us, illuminating our path forward in life. Wishing all of us a most blessed Easter season, and may the Risen Christ be with us and our loved ones always. Alleluia! Amen!
