HOMILY FOR FRIDAY OF THE SECOND WEEK OF EASTER YEAR B
HOMILY THEME: FACING THE REALITY
BY: Rev Fr Joseph Nyarko Asare
(Acts 5:34-42/Ps 27/Jn 6:1-15)
The Jewish leaders needed to admit that Christianity had come to stay and they could not stop it. The apostles had to admit that preaching Jesus meant they will be persecuted. In the Gospel, all on the mountain realized the power of Jesus and his love.
We have fears, doubts, joys, aspirations and all. Unless we admit these realities, face them and make the best out of them, we will retard our growth. Let us learn to admit the realities of love, and seek to use them positively for our growth.
PRAYER POINTS
~For the grace to be truthful
~That we will admit realities and not fight them
~For protection for missionaries and evangelists
