*READINGS OF THE DAY*
Isaiah 52:13-53:12
Hebrews 4:14-16,5:7-9
John 18:1-19:42

*INTRODUCTION*
Dear brethrens, today commemorate the Good Friday. It is an important day on which we remember the Lord’s Passion, His suffering and death on the Cross.

*WHAT DO WE REMEMBER ON THIS DAY?*
On this day we remember that act of supreme love which Our Lord had done for us, remembering His own words, that there is no greater love than for one to lay down his life for a friend.

*WHAT DOES THIS DAY REMINDS OF US?*
This Good Friday celebration reminds us of all that God had done for us, out of His persistent and enduring love for each one of us sinners. He loved us all so much that He has given us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, Who suffered and died for our sake.

*WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE READINGS OF TODAY?*
The readings of today are telling us that, our Good Friday calling is to bring something of the love we have received to places where love is lacking, so that we are a light in the darkness. We are called to work together to overcome evil with goodness. One of the ways we do that is by standing in solidarity with those who suffer. In venerating the cross shortly, we are committing ourselves to venerating the Lord as he comes to us in those whose lives have been broken by the heartless violence of others.

*CONCLUSION*
May our Lord Jesus, Who was crucified and died for us all out of His boundless love for each one of us, continue to watch over us as we journey in this world.
