Rev.11:4-12; Luke 20:27-40

There are prophets, and there are prophets. Today, we see two prophets who so disturbed the peace of the people, that there was much rejoicing when they both died. What does that say to us? The world will always hate truth. Why else would they be happy over the death of prophets who made sure to speak against the evils of men and women’s hearts? The book of Revelations describes these men as witnesses; olive trees and lambs standing before the Lord of the world.

Friends, no one jumps into heaven without paying the price. There is no crown without a cross. So rather than stand aloof and ask stupid questions as some of the Sadducees did today, we should rather focus on becoming true witnesses; signs of contradiction in our world. We should be ready to be mocked, ridiculed, and persecuted for refusing to join the bandwagon of liars, thieves, rumour mongers, fornicators, etc. May our presence bring light, not darkness to the world, and may Mary’s example continue to bring us hope, Amen.

Good morning dear. God bless your weekend.
