Have you ever been asked to move without been sure of the next destination? Movement is easier when you know where you are going. However, moving to an unknown destination may not be fun.

HOMILY FOR SATURDAY MAY 28 2022

Acts 18:23-28; John 16:23-28

We have so many gifts and talents. Unfortunately, some of us have sold our God-given gifts to the devil. Why prostitute because God gave you a beautiful face? Why use your smartness and intelligence for armed robbery and kidnapping? Why use your awesome voice for music that glorifies human pleasures and ill gotten wealth? Why use your natural strength for oppression of the poor and needy?

Friends, let’s learn something from Apollos, an Alexandrian Jew in today’s first reading. He used his eloquence and sound knowledge to win souls for God. His courage and boldness refuted the Jews in public and he demonstrated from the scriptures that Jesus is the Christ. It’s time to rediscover what good use we can put our talents to. Our salvation and the salvation of others might just depend on it. Make up your mind to use those talents for the glory of God today.

Good morning dear. God bless your weekend.
