THEME: Zebulun, Naphtali and Corinth.

(a) These 3 lands shared certain things in common; Zebulun and Naphtali suffered disintegration due to attacks from within and from the outside. They were left devastated and in division and up till the time of Christ were known as Lands of darkness. Corinth at a time in the time of Paul were reported to be divided in groups, one group against the other.

(b) Corinth supposedly is one community and Zebulun and Naphtali were brothers and descendants of one Father, Jacob. They live in darkness, division and wars against each other. Is your community and home like Zebulun, Naphtali and Corinth? people of the same family, same blood and of the same root in war, in division and thus living in darkness.

(c) Christ the Light, in the Gospel of today moves facing Zebulun and Naphtali, to cast the darkness away. He calls His Apostles today to do same, to dispel darkness in the hearts of people and bring peace to divided homes. Like the apostles, we are called to be instruments of peace. “Where there is darkness to bring light. Where there is hatred, love, where there is sadness, joy” -as prayed by Francis of Assisi. Never be the cause or sow the seed of division by what you say or gossips or the source of darkness by what you do or by the wrong teachings you willfully spread.
