*Introduction*

My brothers and sisters, today we celebrate three special angels: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. We call them Archangels, which means they are the most important messengers and leaders in God’s army. Our readings today show us what their job is: to serve God and to help us.

*The Power of God’s Kingdom*

The first reading gives us a stunning picture of Heaven. The prophet Daniel sees God on a fiery throne, and around Him are millions of angels! They are all standing, ready to serve Him.

Then, Daniel sees “one like a Son of Man”—which is Jesus Christ—who receives all power and glory from God the Father.

What does this tell us? It means the angels are not just pretty figures. They are part of God’s mighty Kingdom. They stand strong against anything that is evil. They remind us that Jesus is the King, and all their power comes from Him.

*The Ladder Connecting Us*

In the Gospel, Jesus talks to the disciple Nathanael and makes an amazing promise: “You will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

This is like a ladder connecting Heaven and Earth, and Jesus Himself is that ladder.

The angels are always moving up and down—bringing our prayers to God and carrying God’s help and messages down to us. They are the link between God’s glory and our daily lives. They prove that God is not far away; He is actively working among us.

*What the Three Archangels Do for Us*

Each of the three Archangels has a special job that helps us on our journey:

• St. Michael means “Who is like God?” He is the great Defender. He fought Satan, the enemy of God. He protects the Church and protects you from harm, temptation, and all evil. When you are struggling, call on him for strength and protection.

• St. Gabriel means “God is my strength.” He is the great Messenger. He brought the most important news in history to the Virgin Mary: that she would be the mother of Jesus. He helps us to listen to God’s voice and to bravely share the Good News with others.

• St. Raphael means “God heals.” In the Bible, Raphael walked with and guided a young man named Tobiah, healing his father’s blindness and keeping him safe on a long journey. He is the Archangel of healing, guidance, and safe travel. If you are sick or need direction in your life, ask St. Raphael to walk with you.

*Our Simple Call*

Today, let’s thank God for sending these mighty Archangels to serve us.
We are called to follow their example:

• To be defenders of what is right, like St. Michael.

• To be messengers of love and good news, like St. Gabriel.

• To be healers and guides for those who are lost or hurting, like St. Raphael.

The angels are always working for the King, Jesus Christ. Let us join them in that service. May they protect us, guide us, and lead us all to Heaven.

May you all have a blessed new Week!
