åHappy 60th Independence Day Nigeria
åGod bless Nigeria
åI believe in the Nigerian dream
åWe pray mother Mary to intercede for us
åWe beg God to dwell amongst us again
åWe pray our later years be better than the former.

Dear friends, we have as a patroness, Mary, the Mother of the author of peace, who prayed “that all may be one” (Jn. 17:20). Today more than ever before is our nation Nigeria in need of unity and peace; Christ, Mary’s Son is “our peace, he who made both one, and broke down the dividing wall of enmity through his flesh” (Eph. 2:14).

Jesus is the one who can create one new person (Nigeria) out of the many prevalent factions in Nigeria thereby establishing peace forever. He is surely the one who will reconcile Nigeria, to God and end the manifest enmities rocking the oneness of our nation (Eph. 2:15-16).

It is Jesus alone, the Son of our Queen that can enthrone righteousness, equity, and faithfulness in our country. This is true because the Spirit of God, the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding and fear of the Lord overwhelms him (Isa. 11:1-3).

Through Mary’s cooperation with God, the shoot from the stump of Jesse came to save mankind. If Nigeria and Nigerians acted rightly, a thing we’re capable of; good leadership will be instantiated and the ‘Great Nigeria’ we crave will be realized.

Oh Nigeria, if only you adhered to the call of God! Peace would have found us, justice would have reigned, equity and fairness established; love enthroned while hate, strife, terror, violence and evil dethroned.

May Mary, Queen and patroness of Nigeria intercede for us and occasion a new dawn of Justice, joy and happiness in our society. Amen.
