HOMILY FOR WEDNESDAY OF 6TH WEEK OF EASTER.

THEME: WHEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES.

Jn 16: 12 – 15.

Jesus tells of the coming of the Spirit of truth who will guide me to understand all he has said. The truth is right, good, unchanging, yet there are times that I find it difficult to decipher the real truth when people are manipulative and cunny. At other times, it is difficult for me to make the best choice out of many good choices. Why am I not objective in matters that require frankness and truthfulness? Has the Spirit been present in my life to guide me to the truth?

LET US PRAY
Dear Creator God, I am your child. In you I live, in you I move, in you I have my being. You are the only God I know. Thank you for your faithful promises. Let the spirit of truth guide all my actions. Help me to know that I need your power more than my intelligence or eloquence. May your Holy Spirit lead me from confusion to clarity and truth. Thank you for the presence of your Spirit in my life. Help me to always follow the lead of the Spirit in all things. Amen.
