CONVERSION OF ST. PAUL
Acts 223-16;, Mark 16:15-18

“If the world could see the beauty of a soul without sin, all sinners, all nonbelievers would instantly convert (their lives), “says St. Padre Pio. Life-changing experiences come in different ways which include dreams, encounters, reading the word of God, difficult times, pain, and success. Paul recounts his story of conversion. Before his conversion, he was a zealous Jew who hated, persecuted and delivered Christians to Prison.

His life-changing experience began on his way to Damascus when he encountered the risen Jesus and saw a great light and heard a voice speaking to him. This experience left him blind and confused until Ananias, a devout man revealed God’s will to him. He said to Saul, “The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Just One and to hear a voice from his mouth; for you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard” (Acts of the Apostles 22:14-15).

This became the turning point in the life of Paul. He changed from being a wicked persecutor to a passionate preacher of the good news of Jesus Christ. As Jesus called Paul, He also invites us to proclaim the Word to the whole creation. Is our conversion so deep that we can confidently say like St. Paul, t is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me?” (Galatians 2:20).https://www.catholicforlife.com/homily-for-wednesday-of-the-3rd-week-in-ordinary-time-year-i-1/
