There is a presence we cannot enter in pretence. A presence so bright that nothing remains obscure before it. A presence that makes lucid every clandestine agenda.
That beautiful hymn by Charlotte Elliott is one hymn that gladens my soul whenever I sing it or hear it rendered. ‘Just as I am’.
Dear, how often we are clothed in white when our hearts are dark. Sometimes we come into the presence of God wanting to play pranks. Can the one who created the eyes not see? Can the one who created the mind be ignorant?
It’s time we come into the presence of God as we are that we might be saved. Have mercy on us Lord, forgive our sins and heal our land.
…O Lamb of God, I come.
