Lord Jesus, teach me to love the poor. Grant me your holy grace, that I may dedicate my life, and my entire self to bringing consolation to the poor and the needy around me. Help me to understand that you are ever present in the poor. Help me to realize that it is only by your grace that I am able to live and eat daily. It is only by your special grace that I am healthy. Open my heart, that I may be more loving and considerate to the poor. That they may feel your goodness through me to the glory of God the father. Amen.
