NOT JUST A STEP … (A must read!)
It is a notable English saying that ‘A journey of a thousand miles begin with a step.’ Nevertheless, it is not worth it covering a distance of a thousand miles to pick stones instead of gold.
Are you about taking a step into a journey of a thousand miles? You need not take the kind of step you see everyone around you take. The right step is not determined by ‘how many are the people who have taken it.’ You need not rush into taking a step to begin a journey of a thousand miles. Never take a step into such a journey without having a good end in view.
Preparing for marriage, choosing a career in life, planning to relocate and settle in a place, beginning a friendship, seeking solution to a problem … are tantamount to beginning a journey of a thousand miles which requires taking a step.
Dear, many have taken steps in their numerous journeys of thousand miles but the first steps they took were steps into the wrong directions. In making the journey of a thousand miles, let us seek the face of God in prayer and guided by the three measures above, not just take a step, but a step in the right direction.
