REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK OF LENT.

THEME: THE WICKED TENANTS.

Mt 21: 33-43, 45-46.

Jesus tells a parable that portrays how much God trusts me, and how my freedom deliberately chooses sin. Isn’t it callous to maltreat a wealthy owner who cares for me? Do I victimize others out of envy and greed? When will I come to realize that those I find annoying could be my spiritual benefactors? Do I know that coping with them gives me the opportunity to practice virtues?

LET US PRAY
Forgive me Lord Jesus for the times I have rejected others, envy and scorned them. May I make positive use of available opportunities for grace, rather than wallow in complaints and bitterness. Forgive me for nailing you by my sins of dissatisfaction and envy. Amen.
