REFLECTION FOR THE 3RD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR A.

THEME: THE CALL TO PREACH, TEACH, AND HEAL.

Mt 4: 12-23. January 22, 2023.

With the arrest of John, Jesus knew that his own mission must begin in earnest. So, he went as light to the people who were in darkness about the truth of God. He tells me also today to repent and to turn away from sin and disobedience to God’s commands. He calls me to also come and fish for souls, to draw people to the kingdom of heaven. Why I am reluctant when Jesus calls me to preach, to teach and to heal?

LET US PRAY

Dear Jesus, thank you for telling me about the need for true and sincere repentance. Pardon me for almost always giving excuses when you call me to follow you in the path of sacrificial living and reparation for sins. Teach me dear Lord Jesus to preach your word faithfully, to teach your truth with conviction, and to heal others when I preach and when I teach. Amen.
