Reflection for Sunday January 30 2022

Lk 4:21-30.

Whenever I am unappreciative of the good in others I show ingratitude to God, the Master Creator who has endowed such individuals with goodness, talent, beauty and knowledge. On the other hand, I must never let the criticism of others about me drive me up against a stone wall. Do I really know who I am or do I let the negative and derogatory remarks about me from others define me? Have I asked God to completely melt the real reason I have for disliking certain persons?
LET US PRAY
Help me Lord Jesus to live and appreciate everyone you created, for they are made in your image and likeness. Give me the grace to give true compliments to whoever has done things well, or show signs of progress and development. May I be generous and lavish with encouragement and sincere praises. May I never drown into depression or self-pity because of those who malign me, but rise above their petty jealousy and envy. Amen.
