REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF THE 3RD WEEK OF LENT.

THEME: BEING LAW ABIDING

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

Mt 5: 17-19.

Jesus wants me to be obedient to God’s law which finds its fulfilment in the New Testament. Keeping the rules is about having positive change of heart. Do I consider God’s law as a gift? Do I place more importance on the spirit of the laws rather than on the letters of the laws? Do I habitually break the rules and regulations of my home and establishment?

LET US PRAY
Thank you Lord Jesus for guiding and directing me through divine law and precepts. It is perfect and divine. It’s foundation is love. Make me see the beauty of your law. Help me realize that I cannot consistently flout the divine rules and get away with it so easily. May I love and obey your commands. Remove rebellious spirit from me. Help me actualize my desire to be a law abiding citizen of my nation. Amen.
