HOMILY THEME: MAKE YOURSELVES LITTLE!

BY: Fr Oselumhense Anetor

Ezek.2:8-3:4; Matthew 18:1-5

There’s just something about children; something blessed, innocent and awesome. I wish I remained a child. Well, it’s not just about wishing. Jesus says we actually need to go back to being like children in order to make heaven. How do we treat children? Perhaps this determines how we treat everyone else. I have personally discovered that those who’re very good with children, are also quite better with adults. They become more patient, humbler and more understanding. They are usually also very reliable and obedient.

In God’s presence, we are and we will always remain children. How old is the oldest man on earth? How can we compare that to One who is timeless and ageless? Let’s not begin acting like we know it all and own it all. We are mere creatures, raised to the dignity of sons and daughters by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Friends, there’s no better time to become more trusting, loving and caring like children, than in our world today. This is the time to become more INNOCENT, since our Father would stop at nothing to save us. Are you with me?

Good morning dear. God bless your day ahead.
