THE KING ON THE CROSS…

THE KING ON THE CROSS…

Pilate wrote an inscription; “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews” and the soldiers hung it on the cross of salvation. He was right that Jesus is King but wrong about the boundary of His kingship. Jesus is the universal and eternal king.

Revelation 19:13-16; 17:14 testifies respectively that the Word of God and the Lamb of God which is Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. King Herod decietfully said he would go and pay Him homage when the magi find Him and return to let him know. But Herod was right in his deceit as Jesus is the King who receives the homage of kings.

The palace of the King under discuss is the cross. On the cross, He regained our lost kingdom of eternal peace and joy. He shed His blood so precious to make those who would believe in Him citizens of the city of God.

The perfect example of servant leadership is revealed in Christ the King. Let every kneel bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord of all. The only King who ever went to the cross and not as a criminal but as the just of God is the King of kings. All hail the King!
Love.
