An unfortunate incident happened in Sokoto state at the Shehu Shagari College of Education on Thursday 12th May 2022. It was reported that a young lady whom is Deborah Emmanuel from Kebbi state(Repa L.G.A)an N.C.E 2 student under the department of English, was beaten mercilessly, stoned and burnt to death by some aggressive Muslim course mates.

It was gathered that an article was posted on the group platform concerning the prophet (S.A.W) and the lady was against the post commented on it, she condemned it and said all manner of things about it but no one responded to Her. Unknown to Her they where planning ahead for Her this happened on the 11th May 2022.

On the 12th May, 2022. The lady had come to school and was done with what she wanted to do and was about leaving unfortunately they have been tracking Her movements just as she was leaving the premises around the gate, the angry Muslim course mates attacked Her and asked Her to repeat what she had said the previous night on the group platform concerning the religious post. The lady repeated what she had sent to the group and according to them she insulted the Prophet in addition. This triggered their anger and they began to hit Her with clubs, heavy sticks and stoned heavy with big stones, obviously they came prepared for Her.

The security personnel by the school gate wanted to intervene but they were chased by the angry mob, any passerby who came close and asked what was happening and was told will also join( if Muslim) I guess they used the Islamic doctrine in this case which goes thus ” duk wanda ya zagi annabi jininshi ya halatta.
That was how they beat Deborah up and at the end burnt Her alive. Currently the College of Education has been locked down till further notice and the Sultan has ordered that the culprits should be fished out and brought to face the full wrath of the law.
