AT THY FEET I HUMBLY BOW …

AT THY FEET I HUMBLY BOW …

The queen of Sheba came from the Southern Arabian Kingdom to learn from king Solomon’s wisdom. Solomon’s wisdom had a source. The elders in Jerusalem did not consider it a waste of time listening and discussing with a lad of twelve who was found by his parents after three days.

O what foolishness is man’s wisdom before Wisdom. O how magnified the foolishness of God’s wisdom over the wisest wisdom of men. Who can empty the waters of an Ocean into a bucket?  Who can contribute to the revelation of Divine Wisdom?

If you turn away the rays of the refulgence of your eternal wisdom from a professor of mathematics, one plus one would become too difficult an arithmetic.

That I may not be ruined by my pride of finite and imperfect wisdom O Lord, I humbly bow at thy feet.

Love.
