TO ASK FOR WISDOM

TO ASK FOR WISDOM…

Is it possible not to understand one’s request?
Have you ever made a request without knowing exactly what you are asking for?

There are certain requests that should not be made unless one understands the implication of the request.
There can be no wisdom without knowledge and understanding.

What is our knowledge and understanding of wisdom?

Writing this reflection and having no clear cut picture of what it’s actual message would be; informs me that “wisdom” comes from above.

Wisdom is a perfect attribute of God. Since we are created in God’s image and likeness, we receive wisdom from Wisdom when we ask and dispose ourselves for Wisdom to give us wisdom.

To ask for wisdom is to ask for Wisdom. God is Wisdom personified. When Solomon asked for wisdom, he asked implicitely for God’s presence and approval.

There is no wisdom in anything that lacks the presence and approval of God.

Asking for wisdom is asking God to be the all and all in one’s life. It means the willingness and readiness to let God lead the way.

May Wisdom give us wisdom we pray.

Love.
