THE TRUE WORSHIP THAT GOD WANTS

“The time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God’s Spirit, people will worship the Father as he really is, offering him the true worship that he wants. God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit can people worship him as he really is John 4: 23-24

In recent times, most Christians, overwhelmed by trials have resorted to spending more time binding and casting the devil, and reflecting on their problems rather than giving God the praise and worship he deserves.

To begin with, our lives as Christians should be a life of worship. Our very lives should glorify God to the fullest. By living a holy life, we glorify God; by denying ourselves certain pleasures, we glorify God; by being kind to the poor, we glorify God; by teaching little children about Jesus, we glorify God; by praying and working for the conversion of souls, we glorify God.

To live a life that glorifies God, we need his holy grace and that’s where prayer comes in; every morning and night, it is our duty as Christians to go down on our knees to pray to our father, to worship him with the mouth he has given us; to exalt him with all our hearts and give him thanks for his goodness. When we pray, we should become numb to our immediate surroundings and have our heart and our mind united to God. We are before God, the maker of heaven and earth, the controller of the entire universe. And so we should make good use of it.

A prayerful man is a powerful man, he is above all the other men because he has more insight and wisdom about God and his ways, his faith is so solid and cannot be shaken. A prayerful man is God’s beloved, because he’s always united to God in prayers and thanksgiving. A prayerful man seeks only to glorify his father; his life is a light to many around him who are in darkness.

A prayerful man is not just one who speaks in tongue, binds and casts demons, or performs miracles. A prayerful man is one who through fervent prayers, thanksgiving and holy living, glorifies his maker and serves as a light for the conversion of others.
