Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD

With the evolution of society through social media and easy internet access, a lot has changed. Certain things which used to be seen as a taboo are gradually becoming a norm. All over the internet there are bad pictures, dirty talks and a lot of things which would definitely have an effect on one’s sanity.

Constant exposure to immoral talks or lecherous arguments or pictures through the internet or magazines would definitely impair the way one thinks and talks.

A man who begins to spend time with bad friends, listening to their lewd arguments would gradually begin to see meaning in the jargon that is said and he may eventually see himself saying or doing the things they talked about.

Jesus is everywhere. He sees everyone. Our desire should be to please the Lord. To please Him in our words, and our actions. Jesus is also in our hearts. He reads our thoughts. Hence, avoid everything or everyone who leads you to sin. Avoid anything that would steal you away from God’s presence.

Let your very self be a sweet smelling offering to God which He delights in. Let every word that you utter please Jesus. Let your merely being alive on earth bring God glory and praise. The world should adore and worship God through their admiration of God’s presence in your life.

Just like the blessed virgin, whose sigh is a sweet song in the ears of God, you too should strive for such level of perfection where God is pleased with everything you do. Pleased with every word you say, every thought in your mind, and everything that you do.

Jesus should be boasting about you to His mother and to his angels, about your unwavering strength and loving zeal to please Him. Every morning, pray to Jesus saying; “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD” Psalm 19: 14
