YEAR C: HOMILY FOR FRIDAY AFTER EPIPHANY

HOMILY THEME: OVERCOME THE WORLD

BY: Rev Fr Joseph Nyarko Asare

HOMILY: Believing in Jesus is the surest means to conquer the world and all its so called powers, forces, principles and controllers. Get closer to Jesus. Believe strongly in Jesus. Take Jesus personally for He is your family member. Get attached and addicted to Jesus. Completely depend on Him and chase closely after Him.

That is how we capture the world. It is a pity that Christians, with the available capacity to control the universe, are being manipulated by minor and family forces, lesser spirits and territorial powers. Let us rise up and run to Jesus.

We must remain branches so that His power will flow through our sinews and bodies. We must do this because Jesus has all authority and power, He is bigger than every problem and He is the solution. Our most trusted answers to issues are mere secondly alternatives. Jesus is the answer and solution. Finally, He loves and cares. With Him every challenge is made history and solvable.

PRAYER POINTS

~Increase our faith Lord
~Draw us close to Jesus
~For deeper clarity and understanding of spiritual things
