YEAR C: HOMILY FOR THE 2ND SUNDAY OF LENT
HOMILY THEME: The Transfiguration

HOMILY: The Gospel episode (Luke 9:28-36) reminds us of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ in the presence of his three disciples; Peter, James and John.
There is need for this Transfiguration, to match outside with the reality of the inside or to change the outward so that it matches the inward reality.
In our lives, certain things like prejudice, mental lethargy easy life are liable to keep us from transforming into the glory of God. Also sense of need and sorrow can uplift our minds for transfiguration.
As we go up to God through prayers, denial of pleasure and almsgiving, may we be transformed into better lives.
