FRIDAY 5TH WEEK OF LENT – YEAR B
FRIDAY 5TH WEEK OF LENT – YEAR B
THEME: Beware of the opposition that comes from within!
BY: Rev Fr Oselumhense Anetor
Jer. 20:10-13; John 10:31-42
Have you ever felt like you’re fighting a battle you cannot win? Like when you stake your neck on the line for the oppressed, the weak, the poor, the ailing? That’s how Jeremiah must have felt in the first reading of today. The most overwhelming opposition is one that comes from family, friends, loved ones, and authority figures who should know better.

Friends, don’t forget that although the Jews were the ‘chosen people’, they were the first to pick up stones to throw at Jesus. Those you least expect will oppose justice and fairness the most. But don’t be discouraged. Commit your cause to God and your opponents will stumble and fall. Help will come when you least expect it. Courage! God’s time is always best! And whatever you do, don’t become bitter and vengeful. Hold your peace, and let God lead.
Good morning dear. God bless your weekend ahead…
