THEME: “EVERY HAIR ON YOUR HEAD HAS BEEN COUNTED.”

This is the 12th Sunday in ordinary time (Year A). Evil is sprouting out everyday in this world. Darkness, obscurity and whispering cover every part of the globe. Jeremiah says: “I hear so many disparaging me, Terror from every side! Denounce him! Let us denounce him!” (Jer. 20:10-13). This is truly the case in many parts of the world today. Yet, the children of the Light are still moving on because the Lord is with them. So, do not be afraid for the Lord is on the side of the righteous. Do not allow your faith to dwindle. Do the right thing always and no evil shall befall you.

Paul tells us that, “Sin entered the world through one man, and through sin death…” (Rom. 5:12-15). To save us from sin and death, God gave us his own Son. He is the one through whom grace has been poured into our hearts. We are now saved and covered by the blood of Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death. This gives the children of God the assurance that God loves and cares for them.

Confirming this love , Jesus says, ” … every hair on your head has been counted. So there is no need to be afraid…” (Mt. 10:26-33). The only one we should fear is God. He has power over all things. Nothing is greater than him. If you pray and do the will of God always you count yourself lucky for you shall live without fears. Those who perpetrate evil live in misery while the children of God live happily and prosper. May those who make peace and promote cordial relationship among peoples of the world be blessed, amen. Happy sunday.
