REFLECTION FOR FEAST OF ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE.

THEME: DOUBT NO LONGER BUT BELIEVE.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Apostle. Jn 20: 24-29.

Despair and doubt can extinguish the fire of my faith, but I must strengthen myself to believe without seeing. When I claim to pray with deep faith and still act otherwise saying “Just in case”, I contradict myself, and render my prayer powerless. This is a sign that I am in need of transition in doubt to true profession of faith. What guides my life’s decisions and beliefs? Am I a skeptic and a pessimist? What are my doubts about the merits of religion, education and human relationship?

LET US PRAY
Jesus my Lord and God, forgive my acts of incredulity and disbelief in the miracles you work through genuine visionaries and holy people. Grant me the grace to totally surrender myself to your saving power. I renew my faith and confidence in you today, and I implore you to deepen my faith in the teachings and doctrines of your holy Church. Amen.
