REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY OF 25TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.

THEME: HEROD WAS PUZZLED AND ANXIOUS.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Lk 9: 7 – 9.

Jesus does good works, works that transform peoples’ lives. I must strive to be like him, and not like Herod who is known for wicked and evil deeds. Peace of mind will be my lot for the good deeds I perform, but pricking conscience and disturbed mind follow my refusal to perform the right actions. When last did I go to confession? How do I treat those who tell me the truth?

LET US PRAY
Help me Lord Jesus to reform my character. Save me from the trap of guilty conscience that remains hidden inside of me all lifelong. Make me prompt in obeying your Divine insight. Give me the desire to atone for my sins. Amen.
