DAY 39

Moderated by Fr Justin Nzekwe

DAILY CHALLENGE: Pray more powerfully, tell God the areas you want him to improve in your life.

DAILY THEME: Jesus has the key

THINK ABOUT THIS: We often think that the only thing Jesus does in our life is to open doors, but we forget that he can also close doors. Jesus can open that door of greatness in your life, he can also shut that door that may look beautiful but leads to doom.

Do not give up when it seems all hope is lost, keep on calling Jesus who has the key. Do not enter an opened door, without informing Jesus owns the door. Stop spending your time looking for any other person who has a key, because so many people have keys, but only Jesus has the master key. Jesus has the key to any door you can imagine: life, death, door of heaven and the door of David. He manages the key the way he wants.

He is willing to let you in and favour you, because he wants your good, and that is why he went through the Calvary route for your sake. Get to your knees and seek for the key to favour in prayers.
Bible Reading : Rev. 3:7-13

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

PRAY WITH ME

Lord, only you have the key to my life and my future, and no other being has such powers. I therefore give my life to you, that you may make me whole. Open doors of favours in my life and close every door which will lead to heartbreak and sorrow. Let me give the testimony of your favours in my life as we come to the end of this devotion.

Let your Holy Spirit accompany me on this journey to make it fruitful.

(Say this prayer as many times as you can, today)

Our Father…….
Hail Mary…….
Glory Be……
Psalm 23:6 (3X)
Psalm 118:17 (3X)

TOMORROW’S CHALLENGE: Visit the Blessed Sacrament and thank him for the privilege of this prayer.

***If you are interested in this spiritual journey, please let me know. Ask questions, tell me your challenges through your comments and never give up should you miss any day. God bless you. ***

***You may decide to accompany this journey with shorter fast, or by avoiding bad habits. And then daily Rosary****
