Homily thems the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart ♥ of Jesus. This Saturdayhttps://www.catholicforlife.com/homily-for-the-11th-sunday-in-ordinary-time-year-a-3 we mark the Feast of the Immaculate Heart ♥ of Mary. This Sunday is the 11th in ordinary time of the Church’s Liturgical year . This ahows that the Church is actively praying and seeking God’s grace and mercy upon all humanity. Like Moses, the church is working round the clock. She is always in touch with God drawing grace, mercy and peace upon all humanity. And God is saying, “if you obey my voice and hold fast to my covenant, you of all the nations shall be my very own, for all the earth is mine. I wil count you a kingdom of priests, a consecrated nation” (Ex. 19:2-6).

Even as sinners, God did not abandon us. He wants us to trust and obey him always so that we gain our freedom from sin and evil. In Paul’s view, ” what proves that God loves us is that Christ died for us while we were still sinners” (Rom. 5:6-11). Now as members of the Church which is the body of Christ, we must live the life that is pleasing to God. Most people have stopped coming to church. Many parishes are folding up and in some cases more than four are being marged as one.

In this direction, we need laborers in the vineyard of God. We need workers to keep the house of God alive and active always. It is our duty to support those seeking to live and work in the house of the Lord all the days of their lives. For this reason, when Jesus saw a large crowd roaming about like sheep without a Shepherd he felt sorry for them. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest” (Mt. 9:36-10:8).Today, we are that crowd of people. We need more priests, more religious men and women to work in the house of God. With our support, missionary work will prosper to the glory of God amen. Happy Fathers’ day.
